How It All Started
A couple of years ago I found out that certain flowers were hard to come by here in Ireland. Especially compared to the abundance I would have been used to from my home country the Netherlands. Being an absolute flower fanatic, I decided to try growing them myself. In the course of time this hobby turned into a business. When deciding upon a name for the business we used the phonetic way of spelling my first name: Yesca. It sounded quite unique just like our flowers and from that day Yesca’s Flowers was a fact.
I started out selling flowers on farmer’s markets around Kerry. I soon realised I seemed to have a natural talent for making unique flower arrangements. My mixed bouquets were high in demand. Time went on and we branched out doing display flowers for bistros, wholesale bouquets for retail, bespoke arrangements, wedding flowers and sympathy bouquets.
In the day-to-day running of the business you can find me in the field tending to my flowers, making deliveries, or at the farmer’s market. Maurice is the behind the scene guy: there to help me manage the business properly, keep my enthusiasm within perks and doing the odd bit of heavy-duty farm works. Paul is the business guy. Even though he is miles away he still contributes to the business on a daily basis using his profound experience to guide, encourage and mentor.
Our flowers are known for their vibrant colours, natural feel and scent and for their longevity in the vase. Depending on when the growing season starts you can order your seasonal blooms with us from February till November. We provide flowers for weddings, events, bespoke bouquets and sympathy arrangements. If you would like to know more about us or our products, don’t hesitate to give us a ring or a quick email. We look forward to hear from you
